Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of the town she grew up in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was only seven her family relocated to Mendocino County California. The family resided in an area without electricity. The books on television were Ryder's only distraction for her time, and she became an avid reader. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes when Ryder was 12years old and was enrolled in classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas was dismissed in the year 1986 and Ryder, then barely 15 years old, landed an acting job as a lead actress. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her performing career, she thought that it would aid her. But it wasn't to come to be. However, she kept working towards her dream. Beetlejuice the 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder went on to have success in roles. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993).
